Our Founder

Our Founders and Their Vision

Active Heroes Support Services was co-founded by Jason and his daughter Jazmon, driven by a shared passion for contributing positively to the disability community and their personal experiences in sports and community engagement. Jason has been a part of the rugby league community for the past 40 years and during his time living in Brisbane, he has provided a wealth of knowledge and a sense of community for the local rugby league clubs in Brisbane and the Tongan community.

Jazmon’s journey into the disability support sector was sparked by her admiration of the support workers she had seen in the community as an active and outgoing teenager. The happiness and satisfaction she observed ignited a desire to pursue a career where she could bring joy to people living with disabilities. Jazmon has leveraged her knowledge as a professional Rugby League player for the Cronulla Sharks together with her experience and passion supporting those living with a disability into a disability organisation that is centred around personal growth from an active lifestyle while harnessing the power of a strong community connection.
